Asian Side of Istanbul Daily Tour

While the majority of historical sites are located on the European side of Istanbul, the Asian side still offers a lot to see and explore. Our tour will take you to some of the most prominent neighborhoods, including Uskudar, Kadikoy, and Kuzguncuk. In Kadikoy, you'll have the opportunity to visit popular local hangouts and enjoy a stroll through Kuzguncuk's streets, which have maintained their traditional style, providing a glimpse into what Istanbul was like in the 1990s. Additionally, one of the tour's highlights will be a walk along the Uskudar seafront. It's an alternative tour of Istanbul that shouldn't be missed.

Kadikoy is a city situated on the Asian side of the city, formerly known as Chalcedon. Throughout history the Persians, Bithynians, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Crusaders, and Turks reigned., and the Fikirtepe Mound excavations have shown that Kadikoy is the older settlement on the Anatolian side of Istanbul city. The first settlements date back to 5500-3500 BC to the Chalcolithic period. The region is also known as the City of the Blind. According to the myth, Byzas of Megara who is the founder of Byzantium, was given this nickname when he saw the opposite shore, Sarayburnu, where he would find Byzantium and later Constantinople. The Ottoman Empire ruled here since 1353, before the invasion of Istanbul, thus, the city's oldest mosque was built here. Kadikoy recently has an advanced transportation network, a vibrant, day and night living region worth seeing.
