Sultanahmet
Sultanahmet roughly covers the inside of the Byzantine walls, particularly the old city. Various touristic sites, including the mixture of Byzantine and Ottoman architectural examples, the rich cultural treasures of these cultures, palaces, cisterns, obelisks, museums, and shops here, are attracting worldwide travelers. Hippodrome, Topkapi Palace, Hagia Sophia, Suleymaniye and Blue Mosques, and the Grand Bazaar are the highlighted historical sites, but the region has dozens of other worth-visiting sites. When you move to the inside of the region and check the streets, the museums of Turkish and Islamic Arts, the Archaeology Museum, the Great Palace Mosaic, Hagia Irene, the recently restored Basilica Cistern, the Arasta Bazaar, Hagia Sophia Hurrem Sultan Bathhouse, and the Sokollu Mehmed Pasha Mosque can be seen. Sultanahmet is close to Balat, another popular visiting site on the Golden Horn coasts, and Taksim, Karakoy, and Besiktas have dozens of visiting sites on the opposite shore.
