Bandirma is a coastal city in the Marmara Territory and has one of the largest ports in Turkey, thus it is possible to reach the region by ferry from Istanbul. Son Kursun Aniti (Last Bullet Monument) was erected on the location where the last bullet was fired at the end of the Turkish Independence War. The Ottoman Public Debt Administration, the historical New Library, the old train station, and more are pulling travelers' attention to the classical atmosphere of the district.
