Highlights
Itinerary
Your adventure begins with an early morning pick-up from your Nairobi hotel or airport by your safari guide. You’ll drive to Amboseli National Park, arriving in time for an afternoon game drive. Known for its large herds of elephants and stunning views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli offers incredible wildlife sightings, including zebras, giraffes, and a variety of bird species. The park’s open plains and wetlands create the perfect environment for these magnificent animals. After a rewarding game drive, you’ll check into your midrange lodge or tented camp, enjoy dinner, and spend the night.
Start your day with an early breakfast followed by a morning game drive in Amboseli. The early hours are ideal for spotting active wildlife, particularly elephants, as they forage or drink from the park’s water sources. Afterward, return to your lodge for lunch, then depart for Tsavo West National Park. Upon arrival, check into your lodge, and embark on an afternoon game drive. Tsavo West is home to stunning landscapes, including Mzima Springs, where you may see hippos and crocodiles. The park also has rich wildlife, including rhinos, lions, and leopards. After the game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Enjoy an early breakfast before heading out on a morning game drive in Tsavo West, where you can visit the famous Mzima Springs and spot more wildlife in this scenic area. Afterward, return to the lodge for lunch and then drive to Tsavo East National Park (approx. 2-3 hours). Tsavo East, known for its vast open plains and iconic red elephants, offers a different yet equally spectacular safari experience. After checking into your lodge, enjoy an afternoon game drive through the park, where you can see lions, cheetahs, and a variety of antelope species. The landscape of the park, with its wide savannah and scattered acacia trees, makes for an unforgettable experience. End the day with dinner and a restful overnight stay.
On the final day of your safari, enjoy a morning game drive in Tsavo East, where you’ll have one last opportunity to spot the park’s abundant wildlife, including elephants, lions, and zebras. After the game drive, departing for Nairobi. You’ll arrive in Nairobi by late afternoon or early evening, where your guide will drop you off at your hotel or the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your 4-day safari adventure.

Visa Requirements: You’ll need visas for both Kenya and Tanzania. For convenience, some travelers can apply for an East African tourist visa, which covers Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. Make sure to confirm visa requirements based on your nationality.
Vaccinations and Health Precautions: A yellow fever vaccination certificate is required for entry into both Kenya and Tanzania, so be sure to get vaccinated if you haven't already. Anti-malarial medication is also highly recommended, as both countries have areas with malaria-carrying mosquitoes.
Packing Essentials: Prepare for a range of temperatures by packing lightweight clothing, layers for cool mornings and evenings, a wide-brimmed hat, and comfortable walking shoes for game drives. Don’t forget binoculars, which make a big difference for spotting wildlife in the distance.
Cash and Currency: While credit cards are accepted in some areas, it’s best to have cash for smaller purchases and tips. Both Kenya and Tanzania accept U.S. dollars, but be sure the bills are from 2011 or later, as older ones are often not accepted.
Local Customs and Etiquette: Respect local customs by asking permission before photographing the Maasai or other local people. Dress modestly, especially when visiting villages or interacting with the local community, to show respect for cultural norms.
