Wild & Scenic Kenya: A 7-Day Signature Safari Experience

Depart Nairobi after breakfast and travel to the Samburu National Reserve, enjoying scenic views of Kenya's countryside along the way. Upon arrival, proceed to your lodge for lunch and check-in. Spend the remainder of the afternoon relaxing and enjoying the lodge's surroundings before dinner.

Enjoy a full day exploring the remarkable Samburu National Reserve, with morning and afternoon game drives in search of its unique wildlife. The reserve is home to the Samburu Special Five: the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk and Beisa oryx, alongside elephants, lions, leopards and other fascinating wildlife.

Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation before heading out for an afternoon game drive, offering further opportunities to discover the reserve's diverse wildlife and beautiful landscapes.

All meals will be served at the lodge.

Overnight: Your lodge in Samburu.

After an early breakfast at your lodge in Samburu, check out and depart for Thomson's Falls. Enjoy scenic views of Kenya's changing landscapes as you travel south towards Nyahururu. The journey takes approximately 3–4 hours, depending on road conditions.

Upon arrival, enjoy a brief stop at Thomson's Falls to admire the spectacular 74-metre waterfall and take photographs. Thereafter, continue towards Lake Naivasha, travelling through the scenic landscapes of Kenya's Great Rift Valley. Enjoy lunch at a suitable restaurant along the way before proceeding with your journey.

The onward drive takes approximately 3–4 hours, depending on traffic and road conditions. Arrive at your lodge in Lake Naivasha in the late afternoon or early evening. After check-in, take time to unwind and enjoy the peaceful surroundings of this scenic lakeside destination before dinner and an overnight stay.

Please note that this is a long travel day involving several hours on the road. Actual arrival times may vary depending on road conditions, traffic and the duration of stops along the way. An early departure is recommended to ensure a comfortable journey.

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before checking out and departing for the Maasai Mara National Reserve, one of Kenya's most renowned wildlife destinations. Arrive at your lodge in time for lunch, followed by some time to relax. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive, with opportunities to spot the famous Big Five: elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard. Return to the lodge in the evening to freshen up before dinner.

Accommodation: Lodge in the Maasai Mara.

Enjoy another exciting day exploring the remarkable wildlife and expansive landscapes of the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The reserve forms part of the greater Mara-Serengeti ecosystem, a vast wildlife habitat spanning the Kenya-Tanzania border and renowned for its exceptional biodiversity.

Set out on morning and afternoon game drives across the reserve, exploring its open grasslands and diverse habitats in search of its abundant wildlife. Keep an eye out for elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, giraffes, zebras and other plains game. Depending on the season, you may also witness the spectacular Great Wildebeest Migration.

Return to the lodge between game drives for relaxation and lunch before heading out again in the afternoon for further wildlife encounters.

Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge.

After an early breakfast at your lodge, check out and depart the Masai Mara for Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic drive through Kenya's countryside as you journey back to the capital. The transfer takes approximately 5–6 hours or longer, depending on road and traffic conditions.

Upon arrival in Nairobi, proceed to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.

Important Departure Information: Due to the long driving distance from the Masai Mara to Nairobi, we strongly recommend booking international departure flights scheduled for 9:00 PM or later. This allows sufficient time for the road transfer, potential traffic delays and airport check-in procedures. Earlier departures may require alternative arrangements, such as an additional overnight stay in Nairobi or a domestic flight from the Mara, subject to availability and additional costs.
