Itinerary
Your Kenyan safari adventure begins in Nairobi, where you will be met at the airport by African Adventure Specialists representative upon arrival at the airport, and after transfer to your hotel for overnight stay in preparation for your safari the next day. Golden Tulip Westlands Nairobi, is a premium 4 Star hotel located on 65 Muthithi Road. It is in close vicinity to the Sarit Centre, West Gate mall and National Museum of Kenya. The hotel is only 10-15 minutes from the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, thanks to the expressway.

After breakfast you will visit the Sheldrick Elephant Animal Orphanage (subject to availability) and learn how orphaned baby elephants and rhinos are bottle-fed and re-introduced back to the wild. Later visit the Giraffe center sanctuary and hand-feed the gentle endangered Rothschild giraffes. The giraffes are not for entertainment to guests, but to breed for reintroduction into the wild. Lunch will be served at one of the best Nairobi restaurants and later transferred to the hotel for an overnight stay. An optional dinner can be arranged at an extra cost.
After breakfast, you will drive down to Lake Nakuru, one of the great lakes of East Africa’s Rift Valley. Reaching the Lake Nakuru National Park, game viewing en route arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon depart for game viewing in the park, set around the shallow soda lake. Originally established as a bird sanctuary known for its spectacular birdlife. When water levels are high enough massive flocks of flamingos were been known to gather at the lake. The flamingos have however been reducing in numbers. Highlights on the game drive may include sighting both black and white rhinos, for which the park is better known today. Commonly sighted animals include giraffes, baboons, zebras, buffalos, antelopes, and hippos, with rare fins including leopards. Later in the evening return to your lodge after the wildlife viewing adventure for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast, depart for about a 2hrs drive to Lake Naivasha arriving in good time for check-in and lunch at the camp/lodge. Lake Naivasha is the highest Lake of the Rift Valley located at an altitude of 1890 meters above sea level. This lake is a combination of volcanic rocks and sedimentary deposits. It has a length of 139 square kilometers and is home to a population of more than 400 bird species and a large population of Hippos. Part of the Movie “Out of Africa” was filmed in this area.
In the afternoon, conduct an optional boat ride that will enable you to see colonies of hippopotamuses, the fishing eagles in action, the marabou stork, etc. Later proceed on an optional guided Crescent Island Tour which is situated at the middle of the Lake. Here you will be able to view wild animals that permanently live here like wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, giraffes, and warthogs. We will disembark with a local guide and will continue trekking on foot through this Island that is located at the heart of the Lake, walking at our pace around this incredible place. This will give you a chance to see and photograph the animals that reside here. Meals and overnight at the camp/lodge.
After breakfast, you will proceed for about a 5hrs drive towards Amboseli arriving in time for lunch at the camp/lodge. This elegant lodge is set against the magnificent backdrop of Africa’s highest mountain, Mt. Kilimanjaro in the heart of the Amboseli National Park. Later you will depart for an afternoon game drive in search of the big herds of African Elephants, cheetahs, Lions, gazelles, and the Elusive Eland. Weather permitting you will be able to have a magnificent view of Kilimanjaro. Later you will return to the camp/lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
After breakfast check out and then it’s time to leave the park. The train station at Emali is close-by. There your guide will assist you with tickets and transfer to the Madaraka Express, the new high-speed train to Mombasa and the coast. Your first-class ticket is included with the tour, so enjoy the comfort of your air-conditioned compartment as you travel through sections of Tsavo East. The train route is positioned higher than the roadway and offers an elevated view. With its large windows, you’ll enjoy wonderful vistas of the passing landscapes. There’s also a buffet car for drinks and snacks, and clean restrooms for your convenience. Upon arrival at the train station in Mombasa, you will be transferred to your hotel/resort.

Have breakfast spend the next few days relaxing on the beach or by the pool, exploring the local village, or taking part in one of the many activities offered which you can arrange directly with the hotel (e.g., snorkeling, scuba diving, spa treatments, swimming with dolphins, etc.).
