We will pick you up from your hotel early in the morning. We visit Diyarbakir Walls. Diyarbakir City Walls, which are famous for being the longest wall after the Great Wall, are 5.5 km long and 7-8 m high.

These walls, which are the magnificent examples of medieval military architecture, are decorated with inscriptions and reliefs. B.C. The construction date of the city walls, which was renewed by the Byzantine Emperor Costantinus in 349, is not fully known.

Then we visit the place where the finds of Cayonu are. The ancient city of Cayonu, located in the Ergani district on the Elazig highway 65 km northwest of Diyarbakır, dates back to the polished stone age, about 9000 years ago. It was determined that this settlement was one of the first settled places. After we visit the Great Mosque.

It is known as the fifth Harem-i Şerif in the Islamic world. After the conquest of Diyarbakir by the Islamic armies, the largest Christian temple in the province, the Mar-Tama church, M.S. It was converted into a mosque in 639. It was repaired in 1091 during the time of the Great Seljuk Sultan Melikshah. The mosque, which was damaged in earthquake and fire in 1115, was repaired in 1240 with the help of the people.

This first Islamic structure, which has great value in terms of the fountain in its courtyard and the inscriptions from various periods, was built with black stones. Then Behram Pasha Mosque, the mosque built by 13th Ottoman Governor Behram Pasha, is one of the most beautiful examples of Ottoman architecture.

The very ornate pulpit of the mosque is a marvel of art. Finally, we go to Sheikh Matar Mosque. The four-legged minaret and mosque are works of Akkoyunlu and were built in 1500 by Sultan Kasim.

The minaret was built on a monolithic stone column with four corners. The use of fired wood on the columns is also a feature of the minaret. According to one belief, the wish of passing through the columns seven times was accepted. After end of the tour return to hotel.
