Alpujarra from Granada

We suggest the route around the most emblematic villages of Granada’s Alpujarra. Walk along its streets and discover one of the most outstanding points of the Andalusian legacy, just a few minutes away from Granada city. What awaits you We will start heading towards Lanjarón, making the first stop at the historic Nasrid bridge of Tablate.

At this point, we will understand the relationship of the Moriscos with the Alpujarra and its importance in our history. In Lanjarón, we will visit the Nasrid castle where we will enjoy views that will not leave anyone indifferent. Later, we leave for a unique viewpoint from where we can contemplate the Poqueira Valley, the Guadalfeo Valley and the Sierra Nevada. Possibly you will take from here one of the best photos of your holidays, without a doubt a unique enclave in the visit. Next, we will discover the interesting Fuente Agria Spring and the Chorrerón in Pórtugos, a source of water rich in minerals and we will have the chance to taste it, cold and natural, as it flows from the spring. We will walk down to Chorrerón and enjoy some impressive natural waterfalls.

The route continues in Capilerilla, one of the few villages that remain totally authentic and outside the tourist circuits, where we will contemplate what life is like today, with fruit trees, orchards, a traditional laundry and local architecture at its best. Following our previous route and through impressive landscapes, we will arrive at Pampaneira, included within the network of the Most Beautiful Towns in Spain and one of the most representative of the Alpujarra. There we will take a guided tour of the town and discover the impressive views of the Poqueira Valley, from where you can take the most incredible photographs as souvenirs. You will also have free time for lunch before returning to Granada.
