Tour Overview

Chitwan National Park Tour: Across an area of over 952 sq. km on the southern central plains of subtropical Inner Terai Lowlands, plants and animals abound in Nepal’s largest natural reserve. The Churia Hills rise along the park’s southern border, while the Rapti River marks its northern limit. Within Chitwan National Park, Sal forests dominate the landscape, covering a whopping 70% of the area. The remaining 30% is a mosaic of grasslands and riverine forests. This remarkable diversity creates a perfect habitat for an abundance of wildlife. Tigers, rhinos, and wild elephants roam free, while a variety of reptiles slither through the undergrowth. The skies above are a haven for birds, with an astounding 650 species calling Chitwan National Park home. Established in 1973, Chitwan National Park rose to international acclaim in 1984 when UNESCO designated it a World Heritage Site. Spanning across Chitwan, Nawalpur, and Makwanpur districts, the park’s vast territory encompasses a diverse landscape of marshlands and forests. Explore the National park witness wildlife and learn about the people living in the heart of the jungle.
