Gorilla Tracking in Odzala-Kokoua

Odzala-Kokoua National Park, in the country's northwest, is regarded as one of the more reliable places anywhere to track western lowland gorillas, along with forest elephants and a long list of primates in dense equatorial rainforest. Access runs through a small number of specialist camps rather than independent travel.

The capital, Brazzaville, faces its much larger neighbor Kinshasa across the Congo River, and riverboat outings along this stretch are usually built into a longer wildlife-focused trip.
