The Skanderbeg Museum traces this extended resistance through weapons, maps and reproductions of period artwork, and a statue of the national hero stands near the castle entrance.

Below the castle, Krujë's Old Bazaar is one of the most intact Ottoman market streets in Albania, its wooden-fronted shops still selling copperware, hand-woven carpets and antiques much as they would have generations ago. The bazaar remains a working market as well as a stop for visitors, and bargaining over prices is customary. Filigree silver jewelry, a craft with deep roots in the region, is among the items most associated with Krujë's stalls.

On clear days, the castle terrace looks out across the Ishëm plain toward the Adriatic coast, a vantage point that made Krujë strategically valuable long before Skanderbeg's time.
