Ecuador Puyo Tours

The project is a wildlife rescue center located in the Ecuadorian rainforest, supported by volunteers from around the world. We collaborate with the Environmental Police (UPMA) and the Ministry of the Environment in the fight against wildlife trafficking and abuse. Founded in 2006, the non-profit organization focuses on the conservation and protection of Amazonian flora and fauna. The center receives animals confiscated due to illegal trafficking or donated by their owners. These animals are evaluated by specialized staff to determine if they can be released back into the wild, and if not, they are provided with an environment as close as possible to their natural habitat. It exclusively houses Amazonian wildlife, including nine species of primates, two species of cats, three species of rodents, and a diversity of birds, reptiles, and other small mammals.

With the exception of the first day on our Active Yoga Retreat Ecuador, you will practice Yoga each morning and some evenings after the tour activities planned for each day. Practices are customize to your needs and preferences of each participant. It means that you don’t need to be an expert to join this Yoga Tour in Ecuador, it is just necessary your good attitude to learn about this wonderful activity or improve your skills if you already practice yoga. This tour is for the person who wants to experience various sports in a foreign country.We will begin with the Lechero Tree Hike, and we will end up at the Otavalo Indian Market.  Next, we will partake of the Cuicocha Volcano Hike, and we will stop in Cotacachi, which also known as Leather Town. We will then travel from Otavalo to the Cotopaxi National Park, where we will complete the Cotopaxi Hike. Next, we will drive to the city of Baños, where we will take bikes to complete our journey of the Avenue of the Waterfalls. Are you ready for the Pastaza white water rafting?  Of course you are, and then you'll relish your visit to the Chimborazo Fauna Reserve and Riobamba City. Wait till you see the train ride we have in store for you, which, of course, will take you to Cuenca City.  Next, you’ll journey along the Inca Trail, and then we´ll camp at Cajas National Park.
