100+ tours & activities

Cai Be sits on the Tien River in the heart of the Mekong Delta, best known for the floating market that gathers each morning off its banks.

Morning at the Floating Market

Traders anchor sampans loaded with pineapple, dragon fruit and pumpkin, each boat hanging a sample from a tall pole so buyers can spot the cargo from a distance. Smaller canoes selling coffee and noodle soup weave between the larger boats, and most tours reach the market shortly after sunrise before the trade thins out.

Orchards and a Colonial Church

Away from the river, narrow canals lead into orchards growing longan, mango and jackfruit, often stopping at a workshop where rice paper or coconut candy is made by hand. Cai Be's brick Gothic-style church, built under French rule, still anchors the town center.
