Itinerary
Welcome to Turkey. You will be transferred to your hotel, where you will check in with the TSG team. The rest of the day is yours to explore Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.
Please remember that you can spend the night with one of TSG's optional tours: the Bosphorus Dinner Cruise, the Whirling Dervish Show, or the Rythm Dance Show.

We depart at 08:30 for the Istanbul city tour. TOPKAPI PALACE The great palace of the
Ottoman sultans from the 15th to the 19th centuries housing an exquisite
collection of crystal, silver, and Chinese porcelain, robes worn by the sultans
and their families, the famous jewels of the Imperial Treasury, miniatures, the
Holy Mantle; enshrining relics of the Prophet Mohammed. SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL
MOSQUE Across from St. Sophia built in the 16th century by the architect
Mehmet, is known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior
decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of
chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze
Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Lunch break and then we head
to the SPICE BAZAAR (Egyptian Bazaar) the air here is filled with the enticing
aromas of cinnamon, caraway, saffron, mint, thyme and every other conceivable
herb and spice. The rest of the evening is yours to enjoy Istanbul in Istanbul.

Please Note: Hagia Sofia is closed on
Mondey, Topkapi Palace closed on Tuesdays, Grand Bazaar closed on Sundays. If
your tour is on one of these days we would offer you to visit Underground
Cistern instead of Hagia Sophia and Topkapi palace museum, instead of Grand
Bazaar you will visit Spice Bazaar.

After breakfast, you will be transferred to the ski fields of Uludag. Today is a great day for skiing, admiring the scenery from the top of the mountain, touring the city, shopping at the nearby markets, or simply unwinding in a Turkish bath. Overnight in Uludag.

A fantastic day for a full day of skiing and/or exploring Uludag's attractions. Because Uludag is one of the most popular ski destinations in Turkey, it has well designed ski slopes. Visitors can spend their time in the region skiing, snowboarding, sledding, snowshoeing, and winter hiking. In addition to skiing, Uludag is also a great place for snowboarding. There are snowboarding classes and equipment rentals available for visitors. There are also hiking trails available for those who enjoy winter hiking. These trails offer breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. The ski resorts also provide a variety of apres-ski activities, such as restaurants, cafes, and bars where visitors can enjoy a warm drink or a meal while taking in the breathtaking views. After breakfast, we will set off for Kusadasi, with a lunch break planned along the way. Upon arrival, you will check into your Kusadasi hotel, and the rest of the day will be free for your leisure. You can explore the city or take a stroll along the palm-lined boulevards near the port, where you will find a variety of appealing shops, cafes, and restaurants. Your overnight stay will be in Kusadasi.
TSG recommends that those interested in exploring the region's attractions take in a Turkish Night Show.

The departure to visit Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world, will be early in the morning. In Ephesus, you will visit the Temple of Artemis, Curetes Street, the famous Roman Baths, the Celsus Library, the Grand Theatre, and have a lunch break at a small Turkish restaurant.
We will travel to Sirince Village after lunch, which has a great reputation for producing regional wine in Turkey, particularly fruit wines. The 19th-century neighborhood of Sirince still has its original architectural details and is well-known outside of the nation. It is famous for its homemade wines that are specially made from different kinds of fruits, such as blackberries, blueberries, melons, and strawberries. In the evening, you will be tested on your knowledge of making fruit wine. On the way back to the hotel, we will stop at a carpet weaving center or a leather production center for shopping. Overnight in Kusadasi.

We depart for Pamukkale at 08:00 am. Upon arrival to
Pamukkale we have a lunch break until 13:30 pm. Afterwards we shall visit the
calcium terraces of Pamukkale (cotton castle) and the ruins of Hierapolis,
then walk around this natural phenomenon and have the option of lying in the
waters of the natural springs. Denizli/Pamukkale means seaside in Turkish and
is located on the Buyuk Menderes River. It is a growing industrial town,
known for its textile industry and outlet shopping. You will visit one of the
famous textile factories of Pamukkale. This tour will end approximately 18.30 and you will be back to your
hotel. Dinner and Overnight in Kusadasi.

Day 10 of your road trip in Turkey is your departure day. This is your chance to
catch a last glimpse of Ayvalık before saying goodbye to this wonderful
destination. If you've still got time left, we recommend doing some last-minute
shopping or sightseeing.

Before you conclude
your road trip in Turkey, drop by another restaurant for a last chance at a
memorable dining experience in Ayvalık. Visit to the magnificent Bergama
Museum. It is an impressive Museum and you may see many important relics
from Ancient Pergamon. Pergamon is a famous city for its jewellery, stones and
silver. So on the way, we will visit a jewellery center for 30 minutes. Dinner and Overnight
in Bergama.

We continue our scenic drive along the Aegean, stopping for photo opportunities and perhaps to indulge the taste buds at one of the many farmer road side stands that sell olives, figs, pistachios, and other seasonal fruits. We then will head east towards Assos.
* Assos is a seaside ancient village where Aristotle lived and opened his famed Academy, and was visited by St. Paul. The early settlers built a Doric Temple to Athena in 530 BC. It is possible to see much of the surrounding area from the top of a Trachyte Crag. You will also see the dramatic city gate featuring two massive Hellenic-style columns.
*Troy (Truva) is the ancient site written about by Homer in the classic Iliad. It dates back to approximately 3,000 BC and has been the site of nine different cities through the thousands of years it has been in existence. Upon entering Troy, a large wooden Trojan horse full-scale reproduction will dominate your view. You'll definitely want to climb up and get your picture taken! There is also a small museum on-site to help you get oriented.

Early in the morning, the tour will move to Gallipoli. With breaks, the tour will arrive there at about noon. Kabatepe Museum is the first place that will be visited, which has a rich weapon, photograph, and garment collection that was used by soldiers during the Gallipoli Campaign.
Ariburnu Cemetery will be next, which was built for the soldiers from Australia, New Zealand, the UK, India, and Malta that lost their lives during WWI in the Gallipoli Campaign. Anzac Cove, Beach Cemetery, Lone Pine, and Chunuck Bair are on the list where the most intense struggles have occurred. While listening to their sad stories, you may feel the cruelty of the war again. Late in the afternoon, we will arrive in Istanbul. Overnight in Istanbul.

The TSG team will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast around 8:00 a.m. for "Bosphorus by Boat,". a traditional excursion by boat along the waterway separating Europe and Asia. The shoreline is home to dozens of old wooden villas, palaces of marble, fortresses, and small fishing villages. You will have the opportunity to see the 19th-century Ottoman masterpiece Dolmabahce Palace, Yildiz Palace, one of the unique samples of the last period of Ottoman architecture, and Ciragan Palace with its amazing marble facades from the boat. Additionally, the Rumeli Fortress, one of the most exquisite examples of Ottoman military architecture, the harmony of eastern and western architectural styles at the Beylerbeyi Palace, the iconic view of Ortakoy, and more can be seen during the boat tour.
Camlica Hill is the highest point in Istanbul. At the top of it, you can rest and admire the magnificent panorama of Istanbul and the Bosphorus from the beautiful gardens, landscaped in traditional Turkish Ottoman style.

After lunch, the TSG team will take you to the bazaar, where you can find authentic goods.
